Professional Virtual Consultation Services for Mental Health Clinicians
I offer virtual consultation services for mental health professionals seeking support, guidance, and continued learning in the following areas:
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) & Chronic Pain
Trauma Treatment
Dissociation (safety, stabilization, grounding, and best-practice considerations)
Addiction
Nervous System–Informed Therapeutic Approaches
Consultation sessions can be used to deepen your clinical knowledge, develop new therapeutic skills, and explore how best to support your clients within these treatment areas. We can also discuss specific client cases to enhance case formulation, treatment planning, and intervention strategies.
New to Consultation With Me?
If we have not yet established a consultation relationship, the first step is a free 15-minute introductory consultation.
This brief meeting allows us to:
connect and assess whether we’re the right fit
clarify your consultation needs
review expectations, roles, and boundaries
complete a consultation agreement (required before scheduling full consultation sessions)
Consultation sessions are arranged by email rather than through an online booking system.
To get started, please reach out directly at:
📧 clarissajamesrsw@proton.me
If we decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to create a Jane client account, which is used for consultation services and allows for secure, PHIPPA-compliant video sessions.
The button below will take you to the Jane account creation page.
Important Note: Consultation vs. Clinical Supervision
These services are offered as professional consultation, not clinical supervision. Consultation provides education, guidance, and clinical discussion to support your learning, case conceptualization, and therapeutic approach. It does not include evaluative oversight, workplace performance review, or regulatory requirements related to supervised practice.
You remain fully responsible for all clinical decisions and client care within your own professional role and regulatory standards.

Consultation vs. Clinical Supervision
Which professional support is right for you?
I offer professional consultation for mental health clinicians who want thoughtful, ethical, and practical support in their work. Below is a simple overview of the difference between consultation and clinical supervision to help you understand what each service involves.
At this time, I am offering consultation services only.
Consultation (Currently Offered)
Consultation is a non‑supervisory service designed to support your thinking, learning, and professional growth.
It may include:
Case conceptualization and clinical reflection
Education and skill development
Ethical discussion and professional perspective
Support integrating new approaches or frameworks
Consultation does not involve oversight of your practice or responsibility for clinical decisions or outcomes.
Clinical Supervision (Not Currently Offered)
Clinical supervision is a formal, ongoing professional relationship that includes regular meetings, oversight of clinical work, and greater accountability.
Supervision is typically required for:
Registration or regulatory purposes
Employment or insurance requirements
Early‑career clinicians or higher‑risk practice
Not Sure Which You Need?
If you’re unsure whether consultation or clinical supervision is the right fit, you’re welcome to reach out with questions before booking. Clear roles and expectations help ensure the most supportive and ethical experience for everyone involved.
